Programs we Utilize at CNP

This program develops conceptual imagery and the ability to visualize both oral and written language. By engaging in frequent and sequential practice, students must visualize and verbalize key details of text, recall information, sequence events, and paraphrase stories.

Lindamood-Bell Visualizing/Verbalizing

Through guided discovery techniques, children explore the physical movements involved in producing sounds, and learn to hear, see, and feel the physical characteristics of language.  This in-depth knowledge leads to the child's ability to understand how words are constructed and to learn to self-correct, which are essential skills for independent reading and spelling.  

 

Intended for Pre-K - 1st grade and for English as a Second Language (ESL) learners.

Lindamood-Bell LiPS

This program targets two types of mental imagery: both symbolic and conceptual.  This will help your student develop the ability to visualize sounds and letters in words, and overall reading ability.  This program focuses on decoding skills and sight word recognition, which is crucial for attaining proficiency. 

 

Intended for 1st-6th grade students.

TESOL

(TESOL = Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages)

 

This encompasses what was formerly TEFL, TESL, and ELT, and is designed to teach English to nonnative speakers of English.

 

Intended for ESL learners of any age.

This is a program that goes beyond nouns, verbs, and adjectives learned in beginning grades.  This introduces the basic ideas of grammar, punctuation, and usage from a fourth grade reading level and beyond.  Jr. Analytical Grammar also covers all the parts of speech and the sentence parts exclusive of the four phrases and the three subordinate clauses.  

 

Intended for 4th-6th grade students. (If interested in AG at a high school level, please specifiy).

Jr. Analytical Grammar*

This program develops spelling, reading, decoding, and fluency,  using scientific research-based techniques with learners who struggle with spelling, reading, and writing due to dyslexia or  learning disabilities.

04 /  Lindamood-Bell On Cloud Nine Math 

 

Both concept and numerical imagery are integrated with language and applied to math calculation and problem solving.  On Cloud Nine instruction improves both mathematical reasoning and mathematical computation. 

 

Intended for K-6th grade students. 

 

08 /  Creating New Pathways Math

 

Developed by the owner, this program incorporates multi-sensory approaches to math. Movement, texture, and colors are the baseline for this program.  Young children who have yet to be exposed to numbers and math, and older students struggling with math will benefit from this program which encourages children to visualize numbers, find patterns, and easily calculate problems mentally.  

 

Intended for preschool-6th grade students.  Ideal for students with visual processing issues.
